Today, 25 April, 2025, we had a demo within a demo! As we did prep work for the March O’ the Faeries 16 of the Home Schoolers of the West Hurley Library demo series came to the kitchen and made Pear Moys (Apple Moys with pears instead of apples.) They, their parents and the Librarian we have been working with all worked diligently pounding rice into flour, discovering what Saffron is, and recalling the lessons of Lord Carrick’s medical training used many of the same spices as went into the recipe.
They tried to read the recipe that Brigitte supplied in Middle English, but were relieved to see a modern English version was available!
In an hour thy had the opportunity to all taste what the delicious result of their efforts was!
Before they left they were reminded that they can join in any Wednesday for Youth Combat and A & S.
