Today’s heraldry demo was so wonderful. About 20 people, mostly children, designing devices while learning about about the development of heraldry in Britain. There were a couple of naturals! They got canting and came up with some clear simple devices. All of them were great artists, who made interesting inroads on personal heraldry. The new hours for the Nordenhal A&S meetings will be from 4pm to 7pm at the Port Ewen Reformed Church on Wednesdays (with the exception being for business meetings when A&S will end at 5:45pm so that the business meeting may commence at 6pm). This week marks one year of Youth Combat since we restarted post-COVID. It was March 2024 when a young man’s pestering finally got his mom to reach out and ask us to get on with it. We did. Since then we have been hosting regular practices on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:00. We have been averaging eight youth fighters each practice.
