Greetings All,
With the Plague coming to a slow end we have started to return to a new normal. This now includes in person weekly meetings and practices.
All meetings will be 6-930pm (there will be virtual for those who may need it during business meetings). There will be Covid Tracing, hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes at all meetings and practices.
MASKS ARE STILL REQUIRED REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS FOR THE JUNE IN-PERSON MEETINGS. Please note that the SCA cannot ask for your vaccinations status or card. ** Be aware the Rules for the June meetings will be different than the July Meetings due to the SCA Covid Precautions. I will be posting the new rules in the coming weeks**
FIGHT PRACTICE -We have resumed fight practice at Ross Park in Port Ewen (208 Bowne St, Port Ewen, NY 12466, United States) and we have now been granted use of the Port Ewen Reformed Church for indoor meetings\Practice as of June 30th, 2021. Be aware that the fighters have opted to use the park for “Fair Weather Practices”, when weather is not co-operative fighters will be in the PERC Hall . If the weather co-operates fighters will be in the park for the summer and ending September 29th (or when deemed optimal). Notifications of practice location will be made weekly on where practice will be held.
PERC Meetings and Practices starting June 30th, 2021– PERC (160 Salem St, Port Ewen, NY 12466, United States) has granted us access to the church hall and education room once again. The church is following NYS Covid guidelines. They have installed hand sanitizer stations at both entrances and have asked if we use any part of the church or its facilities that they be cleaned. They have also asked that we do not sit on or use the stage or rectory for any reasons. The kitchen is available to us, however the SCA guidelines do not allow us to serve food or drink communally.
Thank you and hope to see you there,
Abel atte Watere, Seneschal of Nordenhal.
