Youth Combat Ages 6-17
The Youths of the mighty East Kingdom, and all lands beyond, are invited to cross swords at Northern Region War Camp 2024! The list field will be prepared and ready for all comers. Bring your weapons, wits, and will to do battle. Bring your friends and family to fight and cheer you on.
Youths will battle one-on-one, as teams, and in an all-out mêlée. We may run a bear pit if time and attendance allow. We will hold a weapons workshop on Friday evening.
Please bring any protective gear from other sports you may have (LAX or Ice Hockey work well); we will have limited loaner gear. Please be sure to bring your own groin protector as we do not have loaner groin protection (required for all genders). Please bring any approved youth combat weapons you may have. We may not have enough loaners.
Waivers are necessary for any event, practice, or gathering in which youth are participating in martial activities.
Waiver forms are available here. In addition to standard Minor Waiver form, there’s also a roster-style Family Minor Waiver for families with multiple children available here. We will have waiver forms available at the event.
The waiver requirement can be fulfilled either by signing a waiver form, or by showing a blue membership card (which denotes that a signed waiver is already on file with the Society).
Minors who attend practices or events without their parents or legal guardians — such as with a family friend, aunt, etc — must have a signed medical authorization form that designates a responsible adult who can consent to medical treatment on their behalf.

We will have weapons workshop to build Youth Combat kit. We will supply some materials, but if you can bring some, please do.

We will have some leather and tools to help augment the helmets and create gorgets and other gear. Again, if you can bring some materials, please do.
