26 April March O’ the Faeries

I have been asked to supply names (just first names is fine) for folks who will be helping out at the March O’ the Faeries.

If you can come help, please let me know.

We need:
~Kitchen Help (talk to Brigitte for specifics)
~Calligraphy help (writing names on cards for folks)
~Sweet Bags help (Helping kids stuff and sew up a sachet, and sometimes turning it into a butterfly – with a pipecleaner.)
~Music (Playing medieval ambient music in various locations, and then the Greenwood Tree song for the Faerie Queen’s parade. Udalrich is heading this up for us!)

There will be cooking on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so both skilled cooks and folks who can help wash, carry and grab would be greatly appreciated. Times will be posted.

Calligraphers can use either period materials or felt tip calligraphy pens. (For speed and drying time). (I will be working this venue, if you do not want to also do the SCA/real Calligraphy/joining is fun chatter, just let me know and I will do it.)

Sweet bag folks need to be able to to thread a needle and knot the thread. You may need to sew an inch of the bag, or if the maker wants to sew it? Help them knot at the end. (Seraq will be working this aspect, and show everyone the ropes, but he works the mortar and pestle rather than sews.)

The demo runs from 11 am to 3 PM. It is always fun!

If you wish to come and add color rather than work one of our areas? That will help as well!
